The Garden of Words

Takao, a high-school student who wants to make shoes, skips his morning classes whenever it rains and sketches designs in a Japanese garden in Shinjuku. There he keeps running into Yukari, an older woman drinking beer alone on a weekday morning. They fall into meeting only on rainy days, giving each other neither names nor explanations, until the rainy season ends and what each of them has been carrying comes out.
