Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind

A thousand years after civilisation fell, the land is covered by the Sea of Decay, a poisonous forest crawling with giant insects, and people live on what little ground is left. Nausicaä, daughter of the chieftain of the Valley of the Wind, reads the wind better than anyone in the valley and goes into the forest unafraid, trying to understand how it works. When the Tolmekian army invades to revive a Giant Warrior, a weapon from the old world, she puts herself between the humans, the insects, and the forest to stop the war.
