Whisper of the Heart

Shizuku, a third-year middle-school student who loves nothing more than reading, notices that the same name is always written before hers on the library cards of the books she borrows. The name belongs to Seiji Amasawa, a boy who has made up his mind to go to Italy and train as a violin maker. Pushed by his resolve, Shizuku sets out to find whether she has something of her own to give herself to, and begins writing a story around the Baron, a cat figurine she found in an antique shop.
