A cult called Scratch is pulling in followers with the promise of leaving the body behind and living forever inside the network. Faye goes in undercover and drops out of contact while the others chase the identity of its leader, Londes. What waits for them at the end of it is a boy who has been lying on life support the whole time, asleep.
